There was plenty of pomp and circumstance in the region Friday evening — a lot of it taking place in the skies.

PTANK

Pasquotank County High School was in no way prepared for this last minute move. It was a fiasco. they didn't check tickets and people poured into the gym and they locked the rest of us outside until the storm became so fierce they decided to let us in the building but not in the gym. They told us they would let more of us in after the seniors walked in. Therefore i missed seeing my child walk in to Pomp and Circumstance. Then they let us in 10 at a time. i was lucky enough to be in the first 10. I got to see my child get his diploma but others didn't. They should have scheduled a rain date because the gym just won't do. I am sorry for anyone who didn't see their child walk! No one can control the weather but some advance planning would be good for these situations.
