Summer reading program
Camden Library will host its “Libraries Rock” summer reading program for kids up to age 5 and for youngsters in grades K-6. Pick up reading logs at the library. Contact: 331-2543

Cosmopolitan Club will host bingo games starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The 20 games include three jackpots. No smoking inside.
Currituck Library in Barco will host its Toddler and Preschool storytime program for kids ages 18 months to 5 at 10 a.m. Contact: 453-8345

Mariners’ Wharf Film Festival
The Mariners’ Wharf Film Festival will screen the film, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” a 1956 drama-horror and science fiction movie that focuses on an alien plot to take over the earth by replacing humans with zombie-like pod people. The movie will be screened at Mariners’ Wharf Park and start at 8:30 p.m.
Historic Edenton State Historic Site offers guided tours, Tuesday through Saturday, of the following sites: the 1767 Chowan County Courthouse; 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse, James Iredell house and the Cupola House. Tickets are $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children, except for the Cupola house, which costs $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Contact: 482-2637 for times of all tours.
Summer horse camps
Registration is underway for Currituck 4-H’s Happy Trails 4-H horse camps for beginner horse owners and non-horse owners at the Currituck County Rural Center. The first camp will from June 26-28 and the second camp will be from July 31 to Aug. 2. Both camps are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Pirates of Carolina Coast
Registration is underway for Museum of the Albemarle’s Pirates of the Carolina Coast summer camp. The camp is for youth who’ve completed grades K-3 and will be held Monday through Friday, June 25-29 from 9 a.m. to noon. A morning snack will be provided. 4-H Sleepaway Camp
Registration is underway for Currituck County 4-H’s Sleepaway Camp at the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia. The camp will be held June 24-29. State 4-H Camp
Registration is underway for the Camden County 4-H State Camp for youth ages 8-12. The camp will be held June 24-29 at the Eastern 4-H Center. Cost is $300. Activities will include archery, canoeing, swimming. Registration forms can be completed at https://nc.4honline.com.
Registration is underway for the Camp Mesowannago Day Camp for youth ages 5-12. The camp will be held at the Currituck Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension in Barco from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents may register kids for the five camps that will be held June 25-29, July 9-13, July 16-20 or July 30-Aug. 3. Broadway or Bust

4-H Art Expression Camp
Registration is underway for Camden County 4-H’s Art Expression Camp. The camp is for youth ages 8-12 and will be held at the Treasure Point 4-H Camp Thursday and Friday, July 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Twelve spots are available. Cost is $7. Seat to Feet registration

Basketball camp registration
Pre-registration for the CXFIT Hoops Basketball Camp is underway. The camp will be held July 16 through July 20 and July 23 through July 26.
