NENC PrideFest

NENC Progressives will sponsor a NENC PrideFest 2018 event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mariners’ Wharf Park. The event will feature local vendors, food trucks and activities for kids. Contact: facebook.com/​NENCProgressives.

Sleep Away Camp

Currituck County 4-H will host a week-long Sleep Away Camp starting Sunday. Children can enjoy canoeing, archery, swimming. Swamp boardwalk hike

The Dismal Swamp State Park will host a boardwalk hike at 11 a.m. at the visitor center. The hike will be coordinated by a park ranger.

Studio clean out show

Arts of the Albemarle will host a Studio Clean Out Show today through Saturday, June 30. Artists should bring discounted work.

Cosmo Bingo

Cosmopolitan Club will host Bingo games starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The 20 games include three jackpots. No smoking inside.

International Foods for Kids

Registration is underway for Currituck County 4-H’s Culinary Passport: International Foods for Kids program scheduled Aug. 8 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop is for youth ages 9-14 and has a class fee of $10. Register by calling 232-2262.

Creative writing camp registration

Registration is underway for Arts of the Albemarle School of the Arts’s summer intensive on creative writing. The camp will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday, July 9-20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for students in grades 4-12. Students will create an original work for a published anthology. Cost is $95. Pirates of Carolina Coast

Registration is underway for Museum of the Albemarle’s Pirates of the Carolina Coast summer camp. The camp is for youth who’ve completed grades K-3 and will be held Monday through Friday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. A morning snack will be provided. Camp Mesowannago

Registration is underway for the Camp Mesowannago Day Camp for youth ages 5-12. The camp will be held at the Currituck Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension in Barco from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents may register kids for the five camps that will be held June 25-29, July 9-13, July 16-20 or July 30-Aug. 3. Broadway or Bust
