On Aug. 25, the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Division held its fifth annual Pack the Patrol Car school supply drive at McDonald’s at Tanglewood. This year’s event was a major success and the largest ever to date.

Many citizens, groups and organizations graciously donated school supplies and monetary donations to help our kids have a successful school year. McDonald’s, Mr. Bill Taylor, Ms. Sara Johnson, and Mr. Ed Dunlow hosted our event and provided the McDonald’s coupons for individuals who donated to our event.

This year’s Pack the Patrol Car event could not have happened without the collaboration of the following groups:  Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Medical Services, Pasquotank County Correctional Institute, Pasquotank-Camden-Elizabeth City Emergency Management, Albemarle Hopeline, Dixie 105.7, and Walmart. I’d like to offer special thanks to Lone Wolf Productions for providing music for this year’’s event.

Many participated, donated, or contributed to make this event successful for children of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools.
