Oneyear a patriot who never surrendered his sword

The membership of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6060 is deeply saddened by the untimely loss of our friend and respected member, TC Oneyear.
In his time he served this post well. He and his wife, Cheryl, dedicated many hours here. TC was also instrumental in advocating for the VA clinic here in Elizabeth City. Veterans of this community owe him a debt of gratitude. TC was also very good at assisting veterans in the overwhelming burdensome task of completing paperwork when dealing with the VA.
TC was a proud Navy man, a Vietnam vet, a battleship sailor, a brown water warrior and a patriot. He retired a senior master chief but he remained true to his oath thereafter serving this VFW chapter, this community and veterans. He was a patriot who never surrendered his sword. He did not stand on the sidelines and eat ice cream cones like so many do upon retirement.
To all who knew him, he set an example of giving to a greater cause: patriotism! He has now passed on his sword to you, the younger. It is your turn now.
