No wonder Trump, Putin buddies

It's little wonder that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are "bosom buddies."

Both have monumental egos. They're both dictators who listen only to their own mental demons. They lie about anything that in any way casts a doubt on their assumed power and dark, fragile characters.

But Trump is, alas, our president, elected with Putin's collusion.

I don't think most Americans, especially the Christian Right, realize just what terrible shape our country is in right now. Economically we're in fair-to-middlin' shape, but we're in one of the late, great Steven Hawking's black holes morally and spiritually.

Today, the lie rules supreme in the White House and all across America, and in Putin's Kremlin as well.

Editor’s note: Although U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded Russian President Vladimir Putin had his agents meddle in the 2016 election on Trump’s behalf, there is no evidence made public that President Trump’s campaign colluded with those Russians. That potential collusion is the focus of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation.
