Nelson, Kasich not people to look to for leadership

I'm always amazed at how glibly and recklessly MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews and others like him continue to outright lie to persuade gullible people to their points of view.

Matthews gets giddy thinking about Willie Nelson campaigning for a Democrat which, in my mind means nothing. Nelson is crazier than most people could ever imagine. He's campaigning for Beto O'Rourke to take Ted Cruz's U.S. Senate seat. Cruz is not my first choice for anything, but he's a part-time Republican and the best choice for America at this juncture.

But not so with the no guitar-playing Nelson, the dude who's marketing his own Willie's Weed Reserve brand. With Willie it's just another gig and all about the weed, baby!

Same goes with Ohio Gov. John Kasich,  the man I once thought was the only adult in the room during the 2016 presidential campaign. That is until I saw him onstage with real men. Just goes to show how little you can judge a person by appearances. And then when you hear how ignorant Kasich sounds as he spouts his views, you see he’s living in a parallel universe and get the sense that he shouldn't even be a governor, much less a president.

You also get the notion, when you follow Kasich making the rounds of the Democratic troll shows, spouting off about how awful the Trump administration is, that Ohio is blessed to have so much industry in spite of its leadership, not because of it. Kasich clearly stated that if he were president, he would be not be there to serve the nation but his people back home.

Have you ever heard the saying that “fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree?” It means that all your children will be just like their daddy. Imagine what Kasich has done to his children by virtue of being their father. So sad.
