Dems tried to shame, slander, destroy a good man

As I write this, the despicable Democratic Party, along with their best friends in the media, continue their character assassination on Brett Kavanaugh.

This debacle has become a disingenuous attempt by the left to shame, slander and destroy a good man and even his family through unsubstantiated claims and “I don’t remembers” by his liberal Democratic accuser, Christine Ford.

To Democrats, Kavanaugh’s biggest transgression is that he is white, successful, Christian, conservative and appointed by Donald Trump. That’s all that truly matters.

A former boyfriend of accuser Ford has contradicted her sworn testimony. He says she did indeed help a friend prepare for a polygraph test. She never expressed a fear of flying or enclosed spaces. Her story, along with that of other accusers, has so many holes in them, no intellectually honest person would ever believe them.

What a shame that spineless Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, fell for the left’s tactics to delay the vote. For Democrats, the only purpose for seeking the additional FBI investigation was to buy time so that new people, some of them anonymously, could make fresh allegations against Kavanaugh.

What we saw were claims that were frivolous, unfounded and even absurd. The latest that should shake every snowflake Democrat to the core is that allegedly, Brett Kavanaugh may have thrown ice at someone in a bar. There you have it, “Ice Gate.” How pathetic and ridiculous.

Democrats don't care. They're not interested in finding out the truth because, hey, whatever works, right? And yet, they should care. Sexual assault is a horrifying crime no matter who commits it. All decent people understand that. False claims trivialize the offense.

The credibility of Kavanaugh's accusers is eroding every day. As the accusers' stories are challenged, the Democrats of course are shifting their attack. Sens. Dick Durbin, Diane Feinstein, Corey Booker and Kamala Harris now say Kavanaugh's anger shows he doesn't have the right "demeanor" to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Did they really expect a man to sit passively, while his name and reputation were viciously and permanently destroyed? The sad reality is that this could easily happen to any of our sons, brothers, husbands and fathers.

Editor’s note: Since this letter’s submission, the U.S. Senate voted 50-48 to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court and Kavanagh was sworn in as the court’s 114th justice.
