Paranoia of war can even make rabbits into attackers

Napoleon and some of his men fled from rabbits that were attacking them. Google explains that the rabbits probably approached, thinking that humans would feed them, as they were used to.
I attribute Napoleon's mistake to military paranoia. If you plan to kill X, you are inclined to think that X is planning to kill you. Jimmy Carter once thought a rabbit was attacking him.
