Milano's sex strike might be better option for abortion prevention

A good friend of mine and letter-writer recently suggested that one solution to the abortion dilemma would be to transfer a fetus from an unwanted gestational environment to one that was presumably friendlier. I totally agree this would be an option worth looking into, however a little research will reveal that a fetal transplant is not feasible at this time.

While uterus transplantation has been somewhat successful, it is a very rare procedure fraught with all kinds of potential complications. It involves removing a uterus from a healthy subject and implanting it into one where a uterus is totally absent. I’m not sure this would be acceptable to one who is seeking to abort a fetus unless that person is OK with giving up the ability to ever bear children again.

I think possibly the better solution might be to join actress Alyssa Milano in her proposal for a sex strike. By doing so, it seems she has unwittingly become a proponent of abstinence. While she may have to rethink that proposal, she must admit that abstinence works every time it's tried.
