TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Nathan Bannister pitched seven scoreless innings, leading the Tacoma Rainiers over the Reno Aces in a 6-2 win on Friday.

Bannister (1-0) picked up the win after he struck out two while allowing five hits.

Tacoma went up 4-0 in the third after Daniel Vogelbach hit an RBI double and then scored on a two-run home run by Gordon Beckham.

The Rainiers added to their lead in the eighth when Danny Muno hit a two-run home run.

Eric Jokisch (7-6) went six innings, allowing four runs and six hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out seven and walked three. Dan Altavilla recorded his fifth save of the season.

Despite the loss, Reno is 8-4 against Tacoma this season.
