GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Ian Anderson, Walter Borkovich and Thomas Burrows combined for a shutout as the Rome Braves topped the Greenville Drive 4-0 in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

Borkovich (1-0) picked up the win after he struck out three while allowing two hits over two scoreless innings. Daniel Gonzalez (7-3) went seven innings, allowing four runs and five hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out eight and walked one. Burrows pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for his second save of the season.

Rome scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Drew Lugbauer. The Braves scored again in the seventh inning, when they crossed the plate for three runs, including a triple by Kevin Josephina that scored Kurt Hoekstra.

The Drive were blanked for the ninth time this season, while the Braves’ staff recorded their 10th shutout of the year.
