NORWICH, Conn. (AP) -- Bubba Hollins hit a two-run single in the seventh inning, leading the Batavia Muckdogs to a 5-4 win over the Connecticut Tigers on Saturday.

Brent Wheatley got Jordan Pearce to fly out with a runner on second to end the game for his fifth save of the season.

The single by Hollins gave the Muckdogs a 5-3 lead and capped a four-run inning for Batavia. Earlier in the inning, Batavia tied the game when Lazaro Alonso drew a bases-loaded walk.

Following the big inning, the Tigers cut into the deficit in the bottom of the inning when Colby Bortles hit an RBI single, bringing home Cole Peterson.

Taylor Braley (1-1) got the win in relief while Colyn O’Connell (1-3) took the loss in the New York-Penn League game.
