Second suspect arrested in Hertford shooting

HERTFORD – A second suspect has been arrested in a shooting that injured three people at the Wynne Fork Court housing development in Hertford last month.
Hertford Police Chief Douglas Freeman said Friday that Quintral Lashaun Porter, 25, was arrested in the Raleigh area Wednesday by agents with State Bureau of Investigation.
Hertford police picked up Parker, who lists his address as the 200 block of Hogs Neck Road, Perquimans County, and transported him to Albemarle District Jail where he is being held in lieu of an $800,000 secured bond.
Porter and another man, Tyrell Shawndell Williams, 30, are each charged with six counts of felony discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling for the July 19 shooting incident at Wynne Fork Court. Williams, a resident of Hollowell Drive in Winfall, remains at large.
A third suspect, Ervin Jovan Jones, 26 has also been arrested in connection with the July 19 shooting incident.
On Thursday a special grand July convened and indicted Jones on charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $1.5 million bond.
