Sheriff: Thieves hit 20 cars in Forest Park

The Pasquotank County sheriff is seeking the public's help finding those responsible for breaking into approximately unlocked 20 vehicles Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Randy Cartwright said the break-ins were reported in the Forest Park subdivision in the 1700 to 1800 block of Main Street Extended.

Cartwight said cell phone chargers, credit cards, earphones, flashlights, loose change and wallets were among the items reported missing.

The sheriff is urging residents to ensure they not leave weapons or other valuables in their vehicles and that they lock a vehicle if they plan to leave it unattended.
