A 67-year-old man has been found safe and sound after being reported missing late last week.

Pasquotank County Sheriff Randy Cartwright said in an email that William Douglas Morris was located Tuesday.

Cartwright declined to say where Morris was found, citing privacy reasons. However, he said his office’s investigators confirmed Morris’ location by phone after receiving information about his whereabouts.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons had issued a Silver Alert for Morris on Thursday, saying he was believed to be suffering from either dementia or some other cognitive issue.
