Elizabeth City State University police are investigating a reported sexual assault at a campus residence hall last month.

A campus police report states the alleged incident happened at Viking Village around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.

Campus police Chief John Manley confirmed this week that ECSU police are investigating the incident but provided no further details.

In an unrelated matter, Manley confirmed a 20-year-old woman reported Oct. 18 that she was the victim of a rape that occurred Oct. 16 around 9 p.m. at the University Suites residence hall.

Manley said the incident involved two ECSU students. The accuser declined to prosecute, so no probe is currently in progress said, he said.
