Four Forks, Sawyers Creek roads closed

The N.C. Department of Transportation has closed two area roads — one in Pasquotank County, the other in Camden County — to complete maintenance work.

Christy C. Saunders, emergency management coordinator for Pasquotank and Camden counties, said DOT notified her office Tuesday morning that Four Forks Road in Pasquotank and Sawyers Creek Road in Camden will remain closed until the work is completed.

Fork Forks Road addresses 1233 and upward should be accessed via Body Road, Saunders said. Fork Forks Road addresses 1226 and lower should be accessed via Peartree/Forks Road or Gumbridge Road.

Sawyers Creek addresses 206 and upward should be accessed via Lambs Road, Saunders said. Sawyers Creek addresses 162 and lower should be accessed via N.C. Highway 343 North.
