A major regional auto group has bought Toyota of Elizabeth City and renamed it Hall Toyota Elizabeth City.
The MileOne Autogroup acquired the Toyota dealership, at 1002 Halstead Boulevard, this week, the company announced through a public relations firm. The announcement doesn’t include how much MileOne paid for the dealership.
“With this addition, the Hall division gains momentum geographically in Elizabeth City, and also expands its offerings with the addition of a new brand,” MileOne Chief Operating Officer Scott Fader said in the release.
The announcement notes Hall Toyota is the Hall division’s 15th location across Virginia and North Carolina, four of them in Elizabeth City. It’s also the division’s first Toyota dealership, the release notes.
The release continues that Kris Bradshaw will be the general manager. He previously worked at a Hall dealership in Chesapeake, Virginia, a spokeswoman said in a followup email.
The release also states all the dealership’s employees have been offered continued employment. The dealership has about 30 employees, the spokeswoman added.
Hall Division President Bill Baker is also quoted in the release, commenting the division has served Elizabeth City since 2008 and it’s “proud to be a growing resource” for the community’s transportation needs.
According to the release, MileOne represents 28 auto brands with 82 franchises across several divisions, including Hall.
The spokeswoman also noted the Hall division is named for a major auto dealer from the Tidewater area, the late Kenneth Hall, who retired in 2006. MileOne bought the dealerships and kept the name, she wrote.
