TODAY

Berea Baptist. The church will host its "All Wrapped Up!" Craft & Vendor Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free admission, door prizes, and concessions will be available.

SUNDAY

Mt. Lebanon A.M.E. Zion. Antoinette Reid will be the speaker for the American Education Month Breakfast/Sunday School Rally Day on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 9:45 a.m. Breakfast will be served.

Oak Hill A.M.E. Zion. The Rev. Dr. Joseph Walton will be the speaker for the Founders Day program Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:30 p.m. celebrating the church’s 162nd anniversary.

Philadelphia Missionary MBC. Pastor Kevin Lighty of Samuel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will be the speaker for the church’s anniversary Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m.

Corinth Baptist. The Shedd Family will perform a concert Sunday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. An offering will be taken.

New Calvary MBC. Curtis Brinkley will be the speaker for the deacons anniversary service at 2:30 p.m.

Warren Grove MBC. The Rev. James Russell Wrighton, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Windsor, will be the speaker at 2 p.m. for the church’s 142nd anniversary. 

Corner Stone MBC. Minister Travis Gatling, a student at Elizabeth City State University, will be the speaker at 11 a.m. Dijon Perkins of the Church Boi Mime Ministry will help celebrate ECSU Day. Congregants asked to wear blue and white in support of ECSU.

Bethel AME Zion. Minister Johnna Purkett of Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, will be the speaker for annual Women’s Day service at 2:30 p.m.

Wactor Temple AME Zion. The Rev. Michael Gaddy of Kadesh A.M.E. Zion Church will be the speaker for Family and Friends Day at 3 p.m.

First Gospel Tabernacle. Bishop Jobie Boone of First Gospel of Chesapeake will be the speaker at noon.

TUESDAY

The Northeast Bound Union Deacons and Laymen League will have their regular monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. at Golden Corral Family Steak house. Their regular monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Rosenwald Community Center, South Mills. N.C. Christmas dinner head-count is due. Contact: Johnnie Moore: 619-0177

Newbegun UMC. The church will host its 25th annual pre-Thanksgiving pie sale at the Pasquotank Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eastern Star COGIC. Pastor Jesse C. Purkett will be the speaker for the Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Also, times of church services have changed and will be held Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

Center Chapel AME Zion. The Rev. Kevin Fisher will be the speaker for the annual Community Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY

Amen Ministries. Amen Ministries will hold its 25th annual community Thanksgiving meal at Holy Trinity Community Church at 607 S. Road St., Elizabeth City, starting at 10:30 a.m. The ministry is still seeking donations and volunteers for the meal. Contact: Volanda Watts at 338-2515.

Ebenezer Baptist Church. Step of Faith will perform “A Carolina Christmas with Darryl Stallings & Friends” Friday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. Doors for both shows open at 6:15 p.m. A third performance will be Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:15 p.m. Advance tickets are $5, $7 at the door. Mt. Carmel Baptist. The church will host “The Joys of Christmas” program on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 4 p.m.

Eastern Star COGIC. The church’s Youth Outreach Ministry will provide dinners to the homeless and less fortunate Saturday, Nov. 25 from noon to 2 p.m. Also, elder Glen Sawyer will be the speaker Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.

Corinth Baptist Church. Pastor Calvin Owens of New York City will be the speaker for the church’s 151st anniversary, Sunday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Center Hill Baptist. The church in Tyner will host a drive-thru Christmas Panorama of the life of Jesus Friday through Sunday, Dec. 15-17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free admission.

Jarvisburg CoC. The church’s free clothing giveaway service will reopen Friday, Jan. 5. No donations will be accepted during the closing.

ONGOING

Hertford UMC. The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen is held in the fellowship hall every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
