Members of the Leadership Team were recently recognized for their “outstanding efforts and accomplishments” by their colleagues during team meetings. Leaders are presented the “ECPPS Leadership Bell” by the previous recipient during team meetings. Those recognized keep the Leadership Bell until the next meeting, then they name the next deserving leader.

The recipients for 2016-2017 included: Tammy W. Sawyer, director of community schools/PIO; Amber Godfrey, director of technology; Steve Lassiter, assistant superintendent for administrative services & human resources; Jennifer Peoples, administrative assistant to the superintendent; Amy Fyffe, principal, Pasquotank County High School (now serving ECP Early College); Joanne Sanders, Kelly Cowell and Christie Pauley. ECPPS AdvancED Team; Michael Drew, principal, Central Elementary School.

The Leadership Team met on August 3 for an annual meeting before teachers return, to get updates and important information about the beginning of the new school year. During this meeting, Michael Drew, Central Elementary principal, presented the “Leadership Team Bell” for 2017-18 to Amy Fyffe, ECP Early College principal.
