Perquimans Schools: District wins grant to coding app

Perquimans County Schools was awarded $22,500 on Thursday from the Department of Public Instruction for a Coding and Mobile App Development Grant. DPI dispersed $400,000 to 15 Districts and Charter Schools in North Carolina to support partnerships with businesses to design state-of-the-art programs in technology for middle school and high school students. The program funds from $10,000 to $40,000 per school or district. The program is intended to launch in Spring 2018.
