Gibbs, Hooper are Albemarle School top teachers


Albemarle School recently named its Teachers of the Year for the 2017-18 academic year.

They are Christie Gibbs representing the Upper School and Samantha Hooper representing the Lower School.

Gibbs serves on the Leadership Team and the School Improvement Team. Hooper serves on the School Improvement Team and assists with fundraising efforts for the school. Both of these teacher leaders are extraordinary teachers in the classroom.

Gibbs was named Albemarle School's Teacher of the Year. She was a double major so she has earned two bachelor's degrees and holds a master's degree. She teaches high school English at Albemarle School and serves on the Leadership and School Improvement Teams. She has been active in planning student activities and does everything she can to support her students. 

Dunn is conference Coach of the Year

Tim Dunn, Athletic Director for Albemarle School received the conference Coach of the Year Award for basketball. Under his leadership, Albemarle School received a total of 12 conference awards this academic year including a Sportsmanship award. Coach Dunn has worked diligently to expand the athletic program at Albemarle School.

Simpson, Winslow are named All-Conference

Albemarle School Students Tanner Simpson and Lindsay Winslow received the All-Conference and All-Tournament awards in baseball and softball, respectively. Congratulations to these two talented athletes.
