The Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Early College has been recognized for its Positive Behavior Intervention and Support implementation efforts.

School counselor Naomi Howard was presented the school banner during the annual PBIS event in Greensboro, Tuesday, Nov. 13.

DECA students win at state competition

Twenty students at in the Pasquotank County High School DECA Marketing Club were winners at the DECA Marketing Competitive Events Competition on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Greenville. Nearly 250 students overall competed and the Pasquotank High winners returned home with 35 medals and seven trophies in the following events: 

* Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series;

* Hospitality Team Decision Making — Pairs;

* Principles of Marketing;

* Retail Merchandising Series;

* Quick Serve Restaurant Management Series;

* Sports and Entertainment Marketing Series — Individual;

* Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making — Pairs;

The following students earned medals:

Comprehensive Exam Medalist for highest exam scores:

* Benjamin Forbes;

* Mikyla Quintero;

* Nazjiya Bartlett;

* Christian Andersen;
