Students with the Pasquotank County High School chapter of Future Farmers of America participated last month’s State FFA Vet Science Career Development event.

The event was held Nov. 17 at Lee County High School in cooperation with the Veterinarian Technician Program at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford. Team members included students Kaylee Lowery, Olivia Temple, Mia Jernigan and Adriana Figueroa. They worked hard and placed sixth overall in the state. The team’s advisers are Kimberly Ballance and Danielle Barco.

The winning team will compete at the 92nd National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, in October. 

The FFA is a youth organization of more than 19,700 students preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture, with 342 local chapters across the state. Visit their website at ncffa.org for more information.
