Whitehurst picked to conduct Eastern All-District Band

Camden County High School Band Director Chris Whitehurst has been selected to conduct the North Carolina Eastern All-District Band.

Each January the N.C. Bandmaster's Association holds All-District auditions for middle and high school students. Whitehurst led a two-day clinic for students who were selected for the All-District Band and taught students rehearsal techniques and how to prepare for a variety of challenging musical literature.

Under Whitehurst’s direction, the All-District Band preformed Saturday, Feb. 2, at East Carolina University.
