Perquimans basketball falls to Grassfield

HERTFORD — The Perquimans boys basketball team lost to Virginia’s Grassfield High School 49-42 on Thursday night at Perquimans County High School.
DJ Signorelli scored 10 points with seven rebounds, Malik Leach had 10 points, five assists and six steals, Karaye Twine posted 11 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, Dwuan Williams had five assists and Rodney Lyons added eight rebounds.
Up next, the Pirates (3-1) travel to Northside-Pinetown on Tuesday.
Bethel Assembly Christian 75, Albemarle School 36: The Colts (1-4) lost the contest at home on Thursday night.
Caleb Simmons led Bethel (5-2) with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Albemarle School returns to the court today at Ocracoke.
