The Mid-Atlantic Christian men’s basketball team had the opportunity to host the Bible College NIT tournament in February.

MACU hosted the annual tournament at Chesson Gym on Feb. 16 – Feb. 18.

Trinity Baptist, Appalachian Bible, Trinity College of Florida and Dayspring Bible College also took part in the tournament.

MACU lost its opening game to Trinity Baptist 80-60, but closed out the tournament and its season with two consecutive wins against Appalachian Bible (109-49) and Dayspring Bible College (90-47).

The Mustangs took third place at the tournament.

Trinity College won the tournament title, while Trinity Baptist was the runner-up.

MACU concluded the 2016-17 season with a 9-16 overall record.
