John A. Holmes senior running back Keimon Bailey was selected to the NCPreps.com Class 1A All-State football team.

The website made the announcement on Sunday.

Bailey, a Daily Advance All-Area team selection in 2017, was the Albemarle Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and all-conference selection this fall.

Bailey rushed for 2,470 yards with 38 touchdowns. The running back ends his prep career with 6,708 rushing yards and 86 scores on the ground.

Bailey posted back-to-back 2,000 plus yard seasons in 2016 and 2017. Last fall, Bailey set a new program record with 2,853 yards.

Bailey led Edenton to two East Regional Finals and helped the Aces win the 2016 regional final to advance to the 2A state title game.

Bailey was named Edenton’s offensive player of the game in the 2A state championship loss to Reidsville in 2016.
