ECSU's Futrell named to all-CIAA men's golf team

CHARLOTTE — Elizabeth City State senior golfer Tyler Futrell was named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association men’s golf all-CIAA first team on Monday.

Futrell earns the honor for the fourth consecutive season.

Futrell posted a season average score of 76, which was the third lowest average in the conference during the 2018 campaign.

Futrell was the only Viking to make the 10-player all-league list.

Saint Augustine’s Sam Cudjoe had the lowest average on the season with a 74.8. He was named conference golfer of the year.

Fayetteville State’s Isaiah Shaw was second in the league with a 75.67 average.
