This weekend is the last weekend before the first week of regular season high school football in this area.

With camps already fully underway, all six local schools are beginning to have scrimmages against other schools in separate jamborees as this week rolls along.

Northeastern, John A. Holmes and Currituck will each be hosting their own jamborees tomorrow.

The Eagles will be hosting the first of the three, starting at 2 p.m. according to the NHS Boosters twitter page. There will be five scrimmages throughout the day at Northeastern’s field as the Eagles play their scrimmage at 6:30 p.m.

Pasquotank High School will also be there participating as the event goes on until the final game begins at 8 p.m. There will also be a handful of Virginia schools competing at Northeastern’s jamboree.

Both Currituck’s and John A. Holmes’ jamborees begin later in the day at 6 p.m. There will be a handful of Virginia schools at both events as well.

Camden will be the lone local school to join John A. Holmes in Edenton tomorrow night. Among those expected to join the Aces and Bruins at the event are Hickory (VA), Life Academy (VA), Nansemond-Suffolk (VA), Surry and Jones high schools.

Currituck’s jamboree includes Perquimans, Granby (VA) and Northampton (VA).
