Threat of Hurricane Florence forces rescheduled games

The threat of Hurricane Florence has forced the movement of several high school games that were scheduled later this week.
High school football games that were scheduled for Friday night have been moved to Wednesday.
Northeastern’s road contest at Northern Nash is now Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., Camden’s home game against Williamston-Riverside is now Wednesday at 7 p.m., while Perquimans’ road game at Pasquotank is now Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Camden, Northeastern, Perquimans and Pasquotank’s JV football teams will all play Tuesday.
As of Sunday evening, a decision had not been announced about Currituck’s Friday home varsity football game against John A. Holmes.
Camden’s home conference volleyball match against John A. Holmes scheduled for Thursday is now Wednesday at John A. Holmes.
According the National Weather Service’s National Hurricane Center in Miami, Hurricane Florence is expected to impact the eastern United States in the Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic region beginning on Thursday.
