LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — The Elizabeth City State men’s basketball team fell on the road 76-66 to Lincoln University (Pa.) on Wednesday.

The Vikings dropped to 10-10 (6-3 CIAA) on the season with the loss, while the Lions improved to 12-8 (5-4 CIAA).

ECSU shot just 21-66 (31.8 percent) from the floor as it only managed 26 points in the first half thanks to 10-36 shooting (27.8 percent).

Lincoln shot 25-54 (46.3 percent) throughout the game.

Vikings junior Justin Faison had a team-high 19 points in the game as the Lions’ Deaquan Williams finished with 21 points. Williams also led both teams with 15 rebounds, the only player with double-digit rebounds on Wednesday.

ECSU hosts Virginia State Saturday at 4 p.m.


Williamston-Riverside 71, Camden 59: The Bruins dropped their non-conference matchup on Wednesday night.

Camden (7-9, 1-2 Albemarle Athletic) trailed by just one after three quarters after outscoring the Knights by seven in the period, but Riverside (9-6, 5-1 Coastal Plains) pulled away in the fourth quarter.

The Bruins’ Tim Aydlett led both teams with 25 points in the game as the junior made five 3-pointers in the game. Camden junior Maximus Reid also contributed 13 points in the loss.

The Bruins host Perquimans tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Albemarle Athletic action.


Williamston-Riverside 53, Camden 31: The Lady Bruins fell to the Lady Knights Wednesday night.

Camden (3-12, 0-3 Albemarle Athletic) had a slow start as it trailed 26-10 at halftime. 

Junior Shae Ferebee scored 10 points in the loss, while freshman Kennedy Lighty added nine of her own.

Riverside (11-4, 5-1 Coastal Plains) had 15 assists on 21 made field goals.

The Lady Bruins host Perquimans tonight at 6 p.m.
