CAMDEN — The Camden boys' basketball team defeated Manteo 68-56 Tuesday evening in an Albemarle Athletic Conference matchup at Camden County High School.
Tim Aydlett led Camden (9-11, 3-4 AAC) with 24 points and seven rebounds, Maximus Reid posted 14 points and Carlton Harrell scored 10 points.
Manteo (6-1, 1-6 AAC) hosts Perquimans Friday.
Washington County 61, John A. Holmes 57: The Aces (16-4, 5-2 AAC) lost the league game at Washington County Tuesday.
Antuan Sharpe scored 20 points, Mitjonta Stanley followed with 13 points, Keenan Downing posted 10 points in the game for Edenton.
De'Andre Downing led the Panthers (18-0, 7-0 AAC) with 28 points, while Cedez Norman posted 18 points in the win.
Gates 70, Perquimans 45: The Pirates (7-14, 0-7 AAC) lost the league game at Gates County Tuesday.
Gates (9-10, 5-2 AAC) hosts Northeastern today.
Victory Christian 68, Great Hope (Va.) 59: The Eagles earned the win at Great Hope Tuesday.
Jonathan Rosenberger scored a team-high 30 points with six rebounds, two steals and an assist, Gavin Swimme followed with 19 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and three assists.
Victory hosts Trinity Christian today.
Northeast Academy 69, Albemarle School 62: The Colts (13-9) lost the game at home Tuesday.
Avery Krywanczyk led Albemarle School with 24 points and 17 rebounds, Brandon Jackson followed with 16 points and six rebounds, while Logan Dunn scored 12 points with six steals.
First Flight 76, Pasquotank 60: The Panthers (5-14, 1-6 NCC) lost the Northeastern Coastal Conference game at home Tuesday.
Jordan High led First Flight (14-7, 6-1 NCC) with 21 points, Reese Jones followed with 20 points and Dylan Blake posted 19 points in the win.
Bertie 67, Northeastern 65: The Eagles (5-12, 3-4 NCC) lost the league game at home Tuesday.
Jahri Leigh led Northeastern with 23 points and seven rebounds, Aaron Harris followed with 19 points, while Deandre Proctor posted 11 points.
Bertie (12-9, 4-3 NCC) hosts Pasquotank Friday.
Hertford County 69, Currituck 37: The Knights (7-14, 0-7 NCC) lost the league game at home Tuesday.
Hertford County (13-7, 7-0 NCC) remains in first place in the league.
Perquimans 60, Gates 43: The Lady Pirates defeated the Red Barons Tuesday at Gates.
McKayle Knapp paced Perquimans (15-5, 5-2 Albemarle Athletic Conference) with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals.
She made 4-of-6 shots from behind the 3-point line.
Jada Modlin posted 14 points, 13 rebounds and three steals, Asha Elliott had 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Megan Denson had 10 points, two assists and made 2-of-4 shots from behind the 3-point line in the win.
Washington County 55, John A. Holmes 49: The Lady Aces fell to league foe Panthers Tuesday.
Jamillian Johnson led Edenton (12-8, 4-3 AAC) with 22 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Washington County (12-2, 6-1 AAC) travels to Camden Friday.
Manteo 34, Camden 14: The Lady Bruins (3-16, 0-7 AAC) lost the league game at home Tuesday.
Shae Ferebee led Camden with five points.
Manteo improves to 10-4 overall and 4-3 in the conference.
Victory Christian 40, Great Hope (Va.) 29: The Lady Eagles secured the win at Great Hope Tuesday.
Rachel Cote led Victory with 13 points, seven rebounds and a steal, Jessica Van Essendelft followed with 10 points and three rebounds, while Brock Morgan scored nine points, eight assists and six rebounds in the win.
First Flight 53, Pasquotank 31: Pasquotank (4-14, 1-6 Northeastern Coastal Conference) lost the league game at home Tuesday.
First Flight improves to 11-3 overall and 5-2 in the league.
Bertie 61, Northeastern 28: The Eagles (1-16, 0-7 NCC) lost at home Tuesday.
Nakiyah Arnold led Northeastern with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Bertie (18-2, 7-0 NCC) remains in first place in the league.
Hertford County 48, Currituck 44: The Lady Knights (8-11, 2-5 NCC) fell to the Bears (9-9, 6-1 NCC) at home Tuesday.
Desiree Askew led Hertford County with 22 points in the win.
Currituck hosts Northeastern Friday.
