Lady Mustangs fall at EMAC tournament

CHARLOTTE — The Mid-Atlantic Christian women's basketball team lost to Apprentice School 83-47 Friday afternoon at the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference tournament at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte.
Talethia Alexander and Amanda Lemons led the Mustangs with 13 points each, while Imani Simmons posted 10 points.
MACU (4-19) trailed 50-13 at halftime.
Aquazia Jones led Apprentice School (10-15) with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two assists.
Living Waters Christian 57, Victory Christian 41: Victory lost the NCCAA tournament game Thursday night at Ahoskie Christian.
Jonathan Rosenberger led Victory (11-7) with 14 points, five rebounds and an assist, Cameron Rosenberger followed with 10 points six rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Skylar Riddick followed with eight points and two steals, Blade Larabee posted 11 rebounds with a steal and four points, Kaden Harris had five rebounds with an assist, while Gavin Swimme posted nine rebounds, two steals an assist and three points.
John A. Holmes 68, Gates 48: The Aces (20-4) defeated the Red Barons (12-13) in the semifinal round of the Albemarle Athletic Conference tournament Thursday night at Perquimans.
Edenton’s Keimote Raynor scored 17 points with 15 rebounds, Antuan Sharpe followed with 17 points and four steals, Zion Boston had 12 points and seven rebounds, Keenan Downing had eight points and seven rebounds, while Mitjonta Stanley had seven points and seven assists in the win.
