CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Perquimans softball team lost to Greenbrier Christian Academy 14-0 in five innings Saturday at Greenbrier Christian Academy.

Abby Todd went 2-for-2 with two doubles for Perquimans. The Lady Pirates were held to two hits in the game.

Rachel Castine went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and six RBI for Greenbrier Christian (3-1) in the win.

Greenbrier Christian’s Maison Myers pitched four innings, gave up two hits, no earned runs and a walk to earn the win in the circle.

Perquimans returns to action Tuesday against Gates at Gates County High School.


James B. Hunt 4, Perquimans 3: The Perquimans baseball team lost to Wilson's James B. Hunt High School Saturday night at the Wilson Tobs Varsity Classic at Fleming Stadium.

Patrick Clark paced Hunt (8-0) with a hit and a RBI, while Blaize Keen and Cody Mercer were each credited with a RBI in the win.

Perquimans (6-3) returns to play Tuesday with an Albemarle Athletic Conference matchup at Gates County High School.
