Weather alters Week 1 high school football schedule

Several area high school football games have moved from Friday to tonight due to the potential of inclement weather Friday.

Pasquotank's home football game against Washington County was moved from Friday to tonight at 7 p.m.

The change was confirmed Tuesday night.

Camden's home football game against Weldon was moved from Friday to Thursday at 7 p.m.

The change was confirmed Wednesday.

Northeastern's home football game against D.H. Conley will be tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The change was announced Tuesday.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Currituck's road game at Manteo, John A. Holmes' road matchup at First Flight and Perquimans' road contest at Northside-Pinetown were still scheduled to be played Friday night.

Perquimans and Northside are scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m., while Edenton's clash with First Flight and Currituck's game against Manteo are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.

According to several local media outlets, there is a chance of rain in the area late Thursday night into Friday.
