Ex-Camden athlete Cooper named to Conference Carolinas presidential honor roll

A former Camden County High School athlete was recognized by the Conference Carolinas as a member of the spring honor roll.
Nicholas Cooper, a member of the Chowan University men's lacrosse team, was named to the league's presidential honor roll.
The league released the list Thursday.
According to the Conference Carolinas, Cooper was one of 2,349 student-athletes named to the list.
"Conference Carolinas student-athletes consistently show that they are dedicated to truly being 'champions in body, mind and soul,'" Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin said in a news release.
Cooper is a sophomore at Chowan.
The presidential honor recognizes the scholastic achievements of Conference Carolinas student-athletes who achieve a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale each semester.
