HENDERSONVILLE — The Albemarle School’s boys cross country team took first place in the 1A NCISAA state championship, held at Hendersonville-Jackson Park.

The Colts were led by freshman Donovan Sherlock. He placed fourth in Friday morning’s event with a time of 20:22.40.
