WILLARD — Two people are dead following a crash involving a log truck and a car in Pender County.
The N.C. Highway Patrol says the wreck happened about mid-afternoon Monday when a car with three people swerved across the center line and hit the truck on a curve on U.S. 421 in Willard.
The patrol identifies the victims as Debra Potter of Salemburg and Juanita Potter of Clinton. A third occupant of the car and the driver of the truck were hospitalized.
The accident snarled traffic for two hours.
