OXFORD, N.C. (AP) — Four people have been arrested in the shooting death of a Granville County convenience store.
Deputies say 49-year-old Musleh Mohamed Qayed (MOOS-lah KEYE-ed) was shot and killed at around 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Market in Oxford.
Investigators say a gunman came in, shot Qayed and broke into the cash register.
A customer found him dead, lying on the floor with a single gunshot wound.
Deputies say 24-year-old Rodriguez Thomas is charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Three others — Larissa Comer, Rodicka Rivers and Tonielle Curtis — were each charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and accessory after the fact.
It wasn't known if the suspects had attorneys.
