CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Prosecutors say a Charlotte gang leader will spend the rest of his life in prison.
A jury found 39-year-old Marco Davis guilty Friday of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
Investigators say Davis wanted rival gang member 23-year-old Palo Childress killed in 2009. The man's body was found shot to death in woods behind a Charlotte apartment.
Davis was sentenced to life without parole on the murder conviction.
