GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Officials say a US Airways plane bound for Charlotte, N.C., diverted to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport after a report of smoke in the lavatory.
Airport spokeswoman Rosylin Weston says the plane landed at Greenville-Spartanburg on Friday afternoon.
A US Airways spokesman says the plane was flying from Montgomery, Ala., to Charlotte when a flight attendant told the captain a light in the lavatory had given off a "slight smoky scent."
Weston says the plane landed safely, and no smoke was found. There were no injuries reported.
