RALEIGH — There are rules to accepting a prize from the N.C. Education Lottery, and it took a review to make sure a Wilmington woman could claim her money.

A statement from the lottery said a review of a $200,000 prize in an instant game confirms that Lisa Priola was the winner.

Priola's mother was allowed to accept the prize for her daughter without photo identification. Rules say winners must present a photo ID and proof of their Social Security number before claiming a prize. If a winner can't collect in person, a representative can accept it if they have power-of-attorney.

Priola's mother was identified as the winner, sparking the review.

Lottery officials met with the Priola family on Wednesday and obtained the document affirming that Grace Priola could accept the prize.
