HENDERSONVILLE — Henderson County sheriff's detectives have arrested a woman and accused of her of stealing more than $67,000 from her former employer.

Deputies charged 45-year-old Sherry Lynn Gonda of Pisgah Forest with five counts of embezzlement and one count of identity theft.

Deputies say Gonda was charged last week with taking the money from Thompson Properties Inc.

It was not clear if Gonda has an attorney.
