MODESTO, Calif. — Police say a body found in central California is that of a woman who had been missing since mid-December.

Modesto police said the body of Eldoris Christine Graham was found Friday night.

She was declared missing Dec. 15 after her mother called police saying her daughter didn't show up to work. The mother said she last spoke to Graham when she said she was going to the San Francisco Bay area with her live-in boyfriend, Anthony Devon Coxum.

Police said Coxum told investigators he had dropped Graham off in the Bay Area, but gave inconsistent statements in subsequent interviews. He was arrested in Fayetteville, N.C. on Dec. 27 while driving Graham's car, and was being held there on an unrelated probation violation.

Police said he wouldn't cooperate with authorities.
