Catholic bishops condemn immigration raids
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said this week that immigration raids destroy families and won’t fix the nation’s broken immigration system.
“The humanitarian costs of these raids are immeasurable and unacceptable in a civilized society,” said Bishop John Wester, chairman of the group. “While we do not question the right and duty of our government to enforce the law, we do question whether worksite enforcement raids are the most effective and humane method for performing this duty, particularly as they are presently being implemented.”

Just like businesses, the Catholic Church is looking out for its own interests above the well-being of America and its citizens. Since 80% of illegal immigrants come from Latin America (and are therefore Catholic), the church doesn’t want to see its recent spike in members go back down. The Catholic Church also believes poverty is a righteous path to become closer to God, and hence they do not mind all of us getting poorer by throwing open the borders.

I’m glad that I’m not controlled by the Catholic Church.
Tell the truth Bishop, illegal immigrating to the US destroys families because their family is living in the country they came from.
Don’t you know that the Lord will provide for you and that people should not come to the US? Why isn’t the Catholic church teaching illegal aliens and their countrymen about faith in the Lord? Why isn’t the Church helping them in their country, instead of luring them to the US?
It’s about money again isn’t it.
