What election issues are important to you?
As area voters prepare for the Nov. 4 elections, the choices among those running for office may not be easy. Getting prepared, however, is knowing where candidates stand on key issues. And there are plenty of them. Nationally, voters have only to look at the nation’s current economic troubles, war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the energy crisis among others that the next president and Congress will be facing. Across North Carolina, candidates will be debating whether to open up the waters off our coast for oil and natural gas exploration. And locally, elected officials are wrestling with the issues of growth, infrastructure needs and taxes. Area residents probably have many other issues that are important to them. We’d like to know what they are. Tell us: What are the most important election issues this year?

The appointments to the SCOTUS are critical to me. When I stop and think that the gun ownership decision was only upheld by one vote I nearly tremble. Then when I think about the recent case of eminent domain where the lady lost her home for purely economic development reasons I am shocked at the injustice of just one vote.
It is absolutely critical that a president be elected that will make appointments to the court that hold firmly to the Constitution or our way of life will truely be threatened.

Yes as November closes in on us Voters we/I have lot of things to think about and decide on. The number one thing with me is the election or who we choose for our next Presdident, because he is going to have a rough row to hoe. He can only do what Congress lets him do,they are the ones that past the laws etc. They may blame it on the Number One person, But in the end they pass the laws. One thing that I don’t want is someone that says “America is the Best Country in the World” help me change it. Also who has written in his book From Audacity of Hope:’I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’ Are we not Fighting some of those “Muslims” that don’t believe in Our Believes?? God Bless Our Troops, Their Famlies & God Bless America

The Iraq war, homeland security, tax cuts, the job market, stem-cell research — these issues have been front and center during the presidential debates and the stump speeches of both President George W. Bush and Senator John Kerry.albertjames Buzz Marketing

There are alot of things we are looking at As we walk down lifes highway and there being 30+ some days left before we go to the polls to elect our next President perhaps we should stop and really look around our world and the USA?? Yes!! there are changes that need to be made?? The changes that have happen in the last 2 plus years have hurt us all and if that change continues it will make ‘Wall Street ’ look like the First Reader. It appears that the USA they we know is getting ready to go down a Hard & Rough Road. Stop and Think what Change you want and remember where you are at on the Food Chain. Wall St has fallen before and that was before our time, remember we are the War Babies,WW2/Korea. Our Parents and Grandparents have seen change. They have seen prayer in school, ten commandents, the pledge,Merry Christmas, Pressing one for English and the list goes own. We have fought for Our Freedom and others Freedom in the past and we are doing so now, so that we will still maintain that Freedom. Just think about what changes you want when you go to the polls to Vote!! Just Please VOTE,That is something that is Yours because there have been so many Freedom Fighters that have given their lives so that you can Vote!! God Bless America,Their Famlies and Our Troops!!
