For taking home both the Midget and Pee-Wee titles at the Albemarle Youth Football League’s Super Bowl V. The Midgets beat the Ahoskie Bobcats, 22-6, and the Pee-Wees topped the Currituck Storm, 22-20, with a touchdown in the final seconds of the game.

It would have been nice to see these games covered in the local paper. These kids need the community supporting them! We know some of the kids playing but were out of town. I saw pictures on the back page but no story ever. Did I miss it? I think this story is worthy of being covered by someone at the Advance.
