EDENTON — Divers found a stolen passenger van submerged in more than 20 feet of water in a Chowan County creek Monday afternoon.

Quinn upsets Parks in Edenton
Early turnout boosts retired businessman

Retired businessman Bob Quinn pulled off a major upset Tuesday, capturing the Edenton Town Councilman-at Large seat held by longtime incumbent Jerry Parks, thanks to overwhelming support during early voting.

With 120 yards of penalties, Edenton almost negated as many yards as leading rusher Jamez Moore posted Friday night.

Of course, deer is in season and bear season starts soon, but seasons for some small game have already begun as well.

Area school districts pass out hundreds of report cards every year, but on Thursday, the tables were turned.
